Over time, parts will inevitably wear out and need replacement. Old, worn parts reduce your Subaru’s efficiency and can cause additional damage. As your Subaru dealer, we want to tell you about some of our numerous maintenance services to keep your Subaru in peak condition.

Essential Maintenance Services at Your Subaru Dealer

Engine Diagnostics

Your Subaru computer makes driving easier and safer. It allows you to focus on the road ahead while ensuring your vehicle operates at its best. Sensors are connected to all the vital systems and constantly relay information to your computer on the health and operations of their connected system. If an issue develops in any system, the sensors will inform your computer immediately.

Your computer then saves this issue with an error code, and the relevant warning light on your dash will illuminate. We connect our diagnostic system to your computer, enabling our technicians to quickly identify the source of the problem by identifying the error codes. A diagnostic is fast, which saves you time and money by greatly reducing repair costs.

Coolant Replacement

Engine coolant is essential for your engine. It captures engine heat as it travels and transports it to the radiator for removal. The coolant moves at high speed to maintain your engine at a safe operating temperature. Like all the fluid in your car, the coolant needs to be replaced eventually. Older coolant becomes less effective at absorbing heat, and it also becomes corrosive.

Corrosive coolant can damage metal parts of the cooling system, and this will cause leaks. Our technicians will fix this problem by flushing the radiator. We drain the old coolant, then refill the system with new coolant mixed with a conditioner. This mixture circulates through the system and removes any remaining traces of the old coolant. We then drain this mixture and refill your engine with fresh coolant.

Tire Rotation

Tires steadily wear down as time passes, and the tread becomes thinner. Thinner tread reduces your car’s grip on the road and increases your braking distance. Aside from natural wear and tear due to abrasion, your tires can also wear due to balance or alignment problems. We can rotate your tires to reduce wear.

A tire rotation involves moving each tire to a different position. The exact positions the tire moves to depends on your drivetrain type. On an FWD, the front tires will usually wear more, while the reverse is true on an RWD. We move each tire from a position of increased wear to a position of decreased wear. This enables all your tires to wear down at a relatively similar rate and increases their working life.
